One of my favourite (non-alcoholic) drinks for Autumn has to be this warm spiced apple punch. Lightly spiced, it is suitable for all ages and only takes a few minutes to prepare.
- 1 Litre Apple Juice (I used Sainsbury’s Sweet and Crisp Pressed Apple Juice)
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 8 Cloves
- 6 Wide Strips of Orange Zest
- 1/4 tsp of Mixed Spice
- Put all the ingredients in a large saucepan and place over a high heat. Bring to a gentle simmer, turn the heat down to low and leave for 20 minutes for the spices to infuse. Add a little more Mixed Spice if you would like a stronger flavour (just go easy on how much you put in!).
- Strain the punch and use a ladle to pour into 4 heatproof cups or mugs. Serve, garnished with cinnamon sticks and an orange peel.
